When you need us, we'll be there.

You can count on us for expert, compassionate emergency care 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Highly trained emergency physicians and nurses are ready and waiting in our Emergency Care Center. You will experience immediate, effective care for any injury or illness—from cuts, coughs and broken bones to heart attacks and strokes.

Paynesville Hospital is designated as a Level 4 trauma center, in cases of severe trauma, patients can be stabilized and immediately transported via ambulance or helicopter to a Level 1 trauma center.

The Paynesville Area Ambulance Service is on-call, to respond to emergencies. In addition to ambulance service, we also have a landing site for helicopters on our campus.

LifeLink has 6 medical helicopters strategically based throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, with the primary response for Paynesville based in Hutchinson. Response time for trauma transports is appx. 18 minutes. LifeLink is an essential emergency response for critical emergencies such as cardiac and neurological injuries, and acts as a mobile intensive care unit. Paynesville Area Health Care System is proud to provide this extension of emergency care through our hospital.
