The Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors took the following actions at their meeting on Wednesday, March 28.
The board approved its February financial statements, which showed a profit of $131,100 for the month, bringing the Paynesville Area Health Care System's year-to-date profits to $775,500, which is above budget thru five months.
The board was informed by CEO Steve Moburg that PAHCS is working to revise its billing statements, in an effort to make them more patient friendly.
The board approved the appointment of Debra Peterson, M.D., a family practice physician in Litchfield to the courtesy staff so she can see patients at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. She completed the six-month provisional period.
The board appointed Michael Dorle, M.D., and Mark Engelsgjerd, M.D., (both general surgeons) to the consulting staff. Both will be on the call rotation for surgeons, though neither is expected to come to PAHCS regularly.
