The Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors took the following actions at their monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 23.
• The board discussed their clinic in Eden Valley. While affirming their commitment to the market, the board directed administration to investigate upgrades in the physical building and equipment, including possibly a new location.
•Administration also updated the board on progress on the new clinic in Spicer, which hopefully will open sometime this summer. •The board learned that the health care system recorded a profit of $282,225 in April, well above budget, and bringing its year-to-date profit to $1.221 million, above last year¹s total of $757,000 and above the budget of $835,600.
