•The board voted to hire McGladrey and Pullen as the auditor for Paynesville Area Health Care System (PAHCS), beginning in October, when the 2003-04 fiscal year starts for PAHCS. McGladrey and Pullen has worked in the health care field for more than 50 years and currently do audits for 17 nursing homes and 20 hospitals in the state.

The cost for the contracted auditing services for the 2003-2004 fiscal year will be $27,600 for PAHCS.

•The board approved the appointment of Kevin L. Smith, M.D., to the consulting staff in radiology.

•The board approved sending a $4,100 outstanding account to a collection agency.
