•The board approved proceeding with an application for Critical Access Hospital designation, directing the administration to complete an application. Designation as a Critical Access Hospital would increase Medicare reimbursement to the Paynesville Area Hospital.

•The board approved the following appointments to the medical staff: Kristine Cervin, Pharm.D., to the ancillary staff; Richard Backes, M.D., and Kyler Meers, LICSW, to consulting privileges; and James Mohs, M.D., Larry Okerlund, M.D., and Paul Van Gorp, M.D., to back-up privileges. The board also accepted the resignation of privileges from Dr. Patrick Malone (radiology).
