PAHCS Foundation announces health focused grant to area nonprofits

Paynesville Area Health Care System’s (PAHCS) Foundation is supporting a new grant opportunity to area nonprofit organizations. The focus of the grant(s) must be health care related and is being offered as the first annual community grant cycle in honor of PAHCS Foundation’s 10th anniversary. Deadline for applications is June 1, 2013.

Requests for funding must be for health related programs or projects, and must benefit individuals living within the hospital district’s service area, which is approximately 20 miles surrounding the City of Paynesville. Grant funding guidelines and application can be found on the Paynesville Area Health Care System’s website. Grant funding will be determined by the Foundation Board based on the number of applications received and project need.

Jennifer Engen, Foundation Coordinator, said that the PAHCS Foundation Board is excited to support other organizations as a means of giving back to the community. “We are hoping to make this an available grant on a regular basis. Our generous donors have supported the PAHCS Foundation, and this is just one way that we can now support other deserving health-focused ideas in our service area.”
