The Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors took the following actions on Wednesday, Aug. 25.
*The board approved restating its June financials to show an extra $100,000 profit. Due to a billing system change, PAHCS had booked a cushion that was found to be too much, so it added $100,000 in profits for June.
PAHCS recorded its first month in the red for the year in July, losing $17,500 but has recorded a profit of $1.15 million so far this fiscal year.
*The board approved rehiring McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, to conduct its audit for its 2004 fiscal year, which ends at the end of September.
*The board appointed Ahsan Bhatti, M.D., (internal medicine) and Michael Eichler, M.D. (ophthalmology) to its consulting staff and Rebecca Focken, Pharm.D., to its ancillary staff.
